From Thelonius Monk to Fats Waller and Tom Waits to the Beatles, expect to hear some interesting arrangements from the Blue Monk Quartet Lead by guitarist Kim Anning. Kim has been playing jazz in various combinations since the late 1970’s (starting with J.T. and the Jazzmen) including freelancing with various jazz bands, backing international artists and a 10 year stint in a restaurant playing solo instrumental background music. More recently he has been seen in duo form with Libby Hammer and various other singers as well as Phil Hatton’s new group “The Madhattons” and is now leading his own band.
