Bronwynn Sprogowski quintet 8.00pm tonight at The Ellington

Bronwynn Sprogowski is an established vocal artist in Perth’s jazz scene known for her smooth, swinging sweet vocal style. Influenced by the sounds of jazz from an early age, Bronwynn is certain to impress with her delightful deliverance of jazz standards.

Bronwynn’s talent, experience, and swinging style has seen her perform with an array of internationally recognized artists such as Lionel Hampton, Frank Foster, Don Burrows, James Morrison, Tommy Emmanuel, Daryl Somers, Grace Knight as well as American Jazz vocal legend Mark Murphy. In addition to touring the north west of WA in the Billie Holiday Tribute, Bronwynn has also performed around the world at jazz festivals and clubs in the USA, UK and New Zealand.

A WAAPA graduate, Bronwynn’s career as a jazz vocalist is augmented by her teaching appointments in the Jazz Program at WAAPA and at many secondary schools around Perth.

Forming her own quintet in 1996 Bronwynn often performs at the Inglewood Hotel, Jazz Fremantle, the Perth Jazz Society, Fremantle Jazz Festival, Festival of Mandurah and the Perth International Arts Festival.

Tonight Bronwynn will be performing with Glyn McDonald (piano) Pete Jeavons (Bass), Mike Perkins (Drums) and Mark Sprogowski (Saxes)

And if you're wondering what she is coming back from - it's from having twin boys!!!
