Bronton Ainsworth Quartet 8.00pm tonight at The Ellington

Bronton’s Fellows

Bring your ears on down to the Ellington on this exact evening if you’ve got a hankering to be fed a grooving set of tunes to pick you up at the end of the day.

Passionate and playful, Bronton’s Fellows will wash your worries away and fill you with both fresh and familiar jazz fodder to keep you going for the rest of the week.

The quartet consists of Jamie Oehlers (swinging hard on the sax), Tal Cohen (you’ll find him on the piano stool), and Nick Abbey (holding up the double bass), while Bronton Ainsworth quietly keeps time on the drums.

Inspired by the lyrical melodies of John Coltrane, the sweet, smooth ballads of Mal Waldron and the spicy Brazilian rhythms of Jobim, Bronton’s band of merry men will present to you a hearty array of selections from the incredible world of jazz.

With Manhattan schooling looming in the near future Bronton is stoked to be playing to the Perth crowd and is looking forward to sharing his love of the journey of  improvised music.

Jamie Oehlers is one of the country’s leading jazz musicians, regularly touring and performing at jazz clubs and festivals throughout the world. He's guaranteed to monster the saxophone.

Tal Cohen has also just released an album ‘Yellow Sticker’ which showcases an eclectic blend of Middle-Eastern and jazz style pieces, celebrated recently at the Ellington Jazz club.

Nick Abbey is a favourite of musicians, gigging regularly around Perth, and has played countless times with international and national acts such as George Garzone and Paul Grabowsky.

Old and new Ellington attendees make yourself at home with your drink of choice, a platter of goodies and your friends, lover and family at your elbows. The night will be a treat and a half so don’t hesitate, book now and we look forward to seeing you there!
