Her charisma and sheer energy on stage command attention and the listener is rewarded with a swinging, soulful sound – this is what jazz is all about.” – James Morrison, Australian jazz virtuoso. Shameem was kept busy during 2011 with touring in her home state of Western Australia and a song writing collaboration in the UK with a Grammy-winning producer James Bryan (Nelly Furtado). In 2012, fresh off the release of her self-titled debut album, she has had a whirlwind performance schedule: supporting such artists as Ronan Keating and Belinda Carlisle before audiences in the thousands and undertaking a successful national headlining tour. She has been invited to perform at Toronto’s NXNE Festival 2012, Fuse Festival 2012, WAMi Festival 2012 and Canadian Music Week 2013.
