Trevor Watts and Veryan Weston (UK) headline this week at The Ellington

In the 1960s, saxophonist Trevor Watts changed the entire face of European style jazz and improvised music by forming his own group Amalgam, as well as being a founding member of the Spontaneous Music Ensemble. Along with pianist Veryan Weston, this duo has been developing their style of music for many years now, opening up the way for others along as they go. Their music is totally improvised, but still backed with a strong jazz rhythm. The Ellington, PJS and Tura New Music proudly present the rare appearance of this iconic duo on Tuesday evening. Also another 10 shows showcasing an amazing array of talent featuring musical styles from jazz, blues, singer songwriter, old school funk and neo soul.
